Ohio State fans are/were all in on the cult of personality with Woody and Tress. With Meyer, the relationship was much more transactional.

I just think there’s a certain staleness/sameness to the whole thing. Same core for 20+ years. And a malaise post 16/17 with the playoff failures and misses that followed. Think the same thing has happened for many Steelers fans with Tomlin.

Messier and Oshie are such a tough watch too. Their criticisms of Karlsson were fair and on-point but you could feel their disdain for the Penguins. Any compliment through gritted teeth. It was a nice homage honestly to the treatment they used to get from Milbury and Jones.
