this leans way too close to "llms are just autocomplete" for my liking, and also conflates chatbots and the llms that power them. writers *should* be careful about saying llms "know" anything, for sure, but they'd be just as wrong nowadays saying chatbots are only autocompleting from training data.

we've got this happening out here in the town of ontario board race as well. i really don't understand how/why a democrat would accept that endorsement... it's a big red flag for me.
