We now have barrels for every kind of waste. Most of Denver had already received their compost barrel (green) but we live on the poor side of town, so ours was just delivered today. Proud to say the smallest one is for landfill waste.

Today is the second step toward our 2025 renovations. On Saturday, we contracted for new bathroom windows on both floors (which will cost an arm and a leg). Today we have a repairman coming to fix our 30-year-old gas cooktop. If it can't be fixed, we'll move to induction.

Bear tried out a new crockpot dish — chicken paprika in a sour cream sauce with mushrooms & onions. Edamame on the side. Troy approved!

10 years ago it was a great day to try out a new local hang (now sadly gone). We ordered 3 small deep-dish pizze so we could sample the goods liberally and still bring home a couple of pieces to snack on later. The bar had a decent variety of craft beers on tap too.

Welcoming Nathan & David to our 9th annual pilgrimage to Big Choice Brewing for the holiday Peppermint Stout (also sandwiches, salads and pizze!) The quest yielded the seasonal brew in pint glasses rimmed with crushed candy cane and served with peppermint patties.

Troy is only happy when he's working in our gardens or watching TV. Autumn gives him opportunities to do both to his heart's content, and our cherry trees are smiling now. No, he's not for hire.
