As someone that left Alberta, partly because of feeling alienated by my home, I hate hearing people bitch about Alberta when they've never been there.

I love my home province but hated how living there made me feel. I think it's not entirely dissimilar to the separatists feelings though I disagree

My core point is that the value of Pierre's pitch is overstated.

(1/2) You're totally right, both have the potential to bottleneck.

However a lot of the federal power to bottleneck following the Impact Assessment Act case which limited the kinds projects that the fed can affect.

Worth noting that Poilievre seems to be selling magic beans. Most of the projects he's discussing are within Provincial jurisdiction.

So pre-approving zones, while prudent, is not something he can promise in a way that will help much.
