I repair things. Cars, synthesizers, old computers, other people's problems, but not my own. Got something electrical/tech related that the garage quoted too much for, or a digital piano that's more honky-tonk than grand? Give me a shout.
5: Olivetti M21 1985 luggable PC. Dead on arrival, stripped down and boards checked and cleaned, keyboard reassembled and repaired as much as possible. Now listed on eBay, looking for 512K RAM chips to upgrade it to full 640K

4: SsangYong Korando Sports pick-up. Originally a 'take it for the MOT', it failed on a stuck caliper and a rattle from the front hub. That rattle turns out to be a seriously worn front CV joint/stub axle (the joint itself is fine) and water ingress damage, so the full front hub had to be rebuilt.

3: Stripping an ex-utility company van bought at auction. This is destined to be a camper, but had full shelving and an eco monitor and tracker. I helped with removing shelving, cavity waxoyling and prep, and removed the additional components without damaging the existing wiring or trim.

2: Technics SX-PR40 digital piano given away free on Facebook. Stripped and cleaned keyboard contacts and restored cosmetics. Theoretically, would sell for around £150, but I'm more interested in saving such things from being waste.

Recent repairs:

1: Nissan Juke F15 heater fan. Book time is ten hours, which at a garage rate runs well into four figures – most of the dashboard and some steering bits need to come out. I focus on not damaging or bodging, charged less than three hours of main dealer rate. And fixed a bumper dent!
