🇺🇦 is a sovereign country. Russia has absolutely nothing to say about Ukraine’s future, territory and armed forces. Nothing at all. They can’t just steal territories from another state and Europe and the US shouldn’t allow that to happen. Basic international law and UN Charter. Russia must just leave

Hopefully Europe has learnt its lesson about finding itself beholden to russia in commerce ever again. It does not matter how financially and commercially advantageous any proposition from Russia might at first appear… the cost in the end will always be far too high no matter how cheap the price.

Trump can recognise what he likes as much as he likes as it means nothing as Ukraine would not agree to it as part of any peace deal and neither would the EU. The EU sanctions on Russia will remain whilst Russia is holding Ukrainian territory and whilst reparations remain unpaid.
