I wrote this back in 2018... the photo is from a solo trip I took to Milford Sound, in New Zealand that year. Solo, mainly because "honest admission" photography buddy choked on the truth shoved down her throat. Never screw with a Virgo!

My first Auroras... last winter. The trip to the north flank of Mount Shasta in late April... with a flashlight, and a prayer that my ancient Pentax K3ii would last just a wee bit longer.
