They certainly are weasel words. He gets to state his opinions and make believe for his angry base that voting for him supports those opinions. Something politicians at all levels do all the time over things they have no control over. It’s not an impressive tactic and makes me lose respect for him.

No it cannot. This is federal law domain. Would be immediately shot down as unconstitutional if it tried to do so (especially by this current Supreme Court ha!).

There is zero legal basis in the US to arrest on an ICC warrant. It is not recognized. It would be false imprisonment and a breach of civil liberties. You don’t arrest people in America to enforce foreign laws you happen to like! If a mayor wanted to enforce an Iranian fatwa, do you think that’s ok?

That’s not what that means bud. That means the court can claim authority over actions taken in non-signatory nations or by persons from those nations. It doesn’t give municipal governments in the US authority to enforce ICC rulings! Yeesh.

He does know that. He’s preaching to nefarious parts of his base. It’s why I’m not ultimately a fan despite a lot of good qualities I see him in. I don’t like this theatrical bullshit from any politician.
