Not to be that person, but the company cannot possibly put all of their eggs in one basket - regardless if they are fans from the show, they’d least have to cater to different niches of fans who would love to see their media in different projects.

As much as I’d love to watch the show one day, I just can’t get past that the company decided to drop the projects and focus on the cinematic universe the show has built on- the themed events are so much fun albeit grindy with skins and what not - hell, I practically got inspired because of this
