I noticed something like this a year ago when IG had some kind of suggested story feature that clearly exposed that they were delving into my camera roll and utilizing things I hadn't explicitly shared. That was the last straw and I pulled IG and WhatsApp off my phone immediately

Meta is the most shameless and depraved and so of course they are the first to do this but more will come

I hope by now even if people haven't gotten rid of accounts, they at least don't have any meta apps on their phones

The one only thing I use the old one for was to batch create/adjust a bunch of crossfades on multiple selected items, which it doesn't seem like the new one supports 😢
