Gratitude for the day:

Sitting in my old beach chair at the edge of the ocean.

It’s not a vacation thing, or a tourist thing. When you’ve lived by the ocean most of your life, you are moved by tides & nature. Your blood is a little saltier.

I don’t understand my new town. But this I understand.

Frank, the balcony frog, lived in our outdoor pot all last summer.

We haven’t seen him since the temps dropped below 40 last fall.

We’ve had snow and some pretty strong storms.

But today, lo and behold, Frank reappeared, larger than ever.

All hail the mighty amphibian!

The screaming and stomping in my house has started. #iykyk

My current reading. It’s….a lot. Good, but a lot.

My doctor told me he believed my Long Covid is temporary. He’s seen my form of auto-immune flare response a lot and says it does go away.

He said rest whenever I can. So today I just stayed home even though having the flu all week put me so behind.

How’s that for rest?

Local government is where we can make the most difference, so thank you.
And I’ll share this Storypeople with you in solidarity.

For some today is a day filled with family, festivities, and joy.

For some it is a day of anxiety and sadness as you navigate trauma.

For some it is just another day or a day to power through.

Wherever you are, may today be a day of Light and Peace.

After being with my mom in the hospital for the past two days, I needed a little nature therapy.
