Ontario Canada
I've never shared anything like this, but Cdn #CanadaStrong Masks have been my thing since 2020. And now? Their sister site of various cool 100% Canadian #CANADASTRONG sweatshirts are fantastic!! Give them a look, eh? (-:

Going to be some major flooding for a whole lot of Ontario if the forecast for a warmer than usual March comes true. 😳For once I'll be OK with a slow warm up... Snow halfway up ground floor windows and 25 snow days for kids in my friend's area?!?

Interesting map of current military operations the Canadian Armed Forces are conducting throughout the world. When the times get tough, the tough will get going -- and 🇨🇦 has clearly not withdrawn from its peacekeeping role on the world stage, as some keep insinuating.

Reading the news out of 🇺🇸 today about SaudiArabia/Russia/Ukraine/Israel/Iran, it's pretty clear the attack on 🇨🇦 is small piece of the intentional chaos + destruction T and his oligarch/GOP/2025 friends are foisting on USA, Europe, and countries around the world (T thinks P's a trustworthy ally?!?)

Oh dear. Our snow is someone else’s rain. Wonder if Cdns will still go/help in extreme weathr events... Individuals will want to of course; Am's are our friends+allies and we’re not a people to allow others to suffer. But that’s big $$ for Cdn orgs and companies to absorb in this new world. Sigh.

Sorry Canada - having trouble getting my enormous Canadian flag to stay up in this. But I'm here for ya!! #FlagDayCanada

On mornings like this, when my stomach turns at new reports of events to the south, I remind myself: Canadians can be deceivingly pretty to look at on the surface, but we are very powerful, tenacious, and enduring under all that snow... 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦

Great opinion piece in Toronto Star today, but behind paywall. Main gist: hold onto your anger at Trump and his buddies because Canada is at a historical point in determining the direction we take for a new future - but with lots of controversial needs and views. www.thestar.com/opinion/star...

Remember this when Ontario's PREMIER talks about getting "the biggest mandate in history". No. Like Trump, he didn't when he was elected, and he won't in this election either.

And on a brighter note... Just 31 days to our switch to Daylight Savings. "Spring Forward" never sounded better than this year. After darkness, inevitably comes the light. (-:

Honestly? I feel like Trump and his OligarchClub have just moved the Doomsday Clock a few seconds closer to midnight. This isn't just about Canada: Trump has just demonstrated to the world their insane greed and blatant disregard for countries, people, and the planet. @charlieangus104.bsky.social

Ok, this temperature map is just downright mind-numbing - and it's the middle of the day. Please stay safe and warm, and look out for your family, friends, and strangers as well. 🥶❤️

A Happiness Jar.
I think this is the year for me to actually DO this! In 2025, we can probably all use tangible ways to keep our focus on the positive and happy in our lives, eh? (-:

From the Collective Conservation on Fb.
Yes, there are specific instances where cars are absolutely necessary. But if there was an excellent transit service and a culture of cost and planet saving, how many people would switch? Powerful graphic.

Screen shot of today's CBC's World News online - check the dates... this is only the 2nd row of stories on the main page. What?? There were no other world events happening?!? This has been going on for months. I check news sites around the world now to get timely and balanced reporting. #CBCFail

A sobering reminder....
Got another email from @mscommunity.bsky.social again this morning that "someone may have typed your email by mistake". Right. Changed password again, and found this sobering list of login attempts JUST for the past 5 days.
Are you changing your passwords regularly??

Good Sunday morning folks. Looks like there's snow in the air this wk! So I'm creating a little reading exercise for a young woman from Iran called "How to Enjoy Winter in Canada - even if you hate the cold" (-:
I have my own ideas but what's YOUR best advice?

Wonder how the good old #UnitedStates feels about being 59th in the list and their company ranked with them at 83... No longer such a land of the free? Even Mongolia ranked higher.
I wonder where all of these countries will rank in 10 years... 😟
