One of Jimmy Carter’s greatest legacies is the near elimination of Guinea Worm disease. It fell from 3.5 million cases before the Carter Foundation started funding eradication to 15 total cases in 2022. It’s a public health achievement on the scale of smallpox elimination. #thankyoujimmycarter

If Lord of the Rings can have Potatoes in its mythical history of England it can certainly have black people. Different races were actually there, potatoes were not.

I would like to thank the people at Nerf for selling a big dart launcher for dirt cheap. When I was a kid that would have been $60 but I found it for 20 everywhere. We did sub for Santa and it was great to get the kids an impressive, name brand toy that was actually affordable.

Fun fact about coronaviruses. They have very large genomes for RNA viruses. Since RNA copying makes a lot of mistakes, they can only exist because the have an RNA proofreading activity. For a molecular biologist this is CRAZY
