I just got back from a birthday trip to Japan (thanks to my husband John). It's hard to even know where to start, and, yes, I'll get to the art, which was stupendously incredible, but I'll start with matcha ice cream cones. And yes, I did eventually have a cone.

I did this painting in response to the pandemic and to the first Trump presidency; the despair feels apropos once again.
