I could be wrong, but, my opinion is this has been the plan. Thiel and all of the oligarchs used Trump as a way to get into the presidency but knew he also had a lot of baggage. They knew they could bring him down eventually. After they got their tax cuts, they went to work. Trump will be gone soon
