It’s not just being inconvenienced, that’s my whole point. The airspace being shutdown doesn’t just mean millions won’t be able to see their families. It means pharmacies don’t get medicine, food banks don’t get food, the economy stops. All for what? So Trump gets more power at the end?
November 11, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Food, water, medicine, etc won’t be able to be shipped cross country anymore with the airspace closed for days or weeks. I feel like a lot of people are not realizing how bad things would get if the govt was shutdown for even longer. All for Trump to get more power with the filibuster being removed.

I feel like this mindset of “they just didn’t want their Thanksgiving plans to be canceled” is really dismissive of the millions that won’t see their families and that air travel doesn’t just mean travelers. It means logistics too! If you thought not having SNAP anymore was bad, imagine now when -

I feel like this almost trivializes the very real pain people were feeling not only due to the impending collapse of US airspace but also of the millions missing their 3rd paycheck and the shutdown of government programs that supported millions of families.
November 10, 2025 at 2:57 AM
Man idk, is it out of touch to realize millions are going hungry and are missing their 3rd paycheck while air travel is on the verge of collapse? Is it disgraceful to realize that people could start dying of hunger if the shutdown doesn’t end within the week?

Imo, it’s zero sum game at this point.

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think there is the overwhelming response bluesky think there is to keep the gov shutdown. Millions are gonna miss their third paycheck, air travel is on the verge of collapse and SNAP benefits are cut.

Nope, still showing.

It’s really great that your wife did that, but unfortunately that doesn’t make it unconstitutional for republicans in Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, etc to do it.

Until democrats have a majority to make it unconstitutional nationwide, having it state by state only weakens dems.

Well, the party that did it was republicans soooo

Stranger Things was at its best when you didn’t know shit about what was going on and everything still felt like a mystery.

If the civil rights movement stopped after 3 public protests because everyone felt not enough change was made we still would be arguing about desegregation.
