-horseriding isnt stupid just because his idea was yet to be concretized and wasnt recognized as a real idea instead of an impossible mistake of imagination. Invention that is doubted by society prior to its success really isnt an issue to Hegel’s explanation of intelligence.

I think you’re confusing Hegel’s concept of intelligence to mean “what everyone agrees is smart”. I dont think he strays too far at his base from the greek “what matches between understanding of function in the world and function in the world”. A guy recognizing the existing potential of-

It became a takedown of the genre of takedown videos. Which is a bit clumsy and not worth the length imo, but its artistically coherent. A self nullifying critique of critiques. If it was out of the blue itd just be odd, but as indirectly replying to an existing subgenre? It was alright i guess

I thought that the ironic twist in the end was that there was nothing bad about avgn’s production method. It was just different. A wonky camera works, a guy changing his schedule to balance changes in his life is also fine. An artist doesnt owe falling in line with common standards to his audience.

Its always possible to mock the purely surface level literacy of using the freaking iron giant as an ultimate weapon without a shred of irony. Only way to miss its message harder would be to make it destroy a museum in the name of the US mission to bring freedom to everyone

Cj the X’s “how jordan peterson’s suits taught me fashion” got me to considering aesthetics seriously. I do have some issues with the essay, the eponymous final part is abit weakly argued, but i know that without the trust in Cj’s work i wouldntve approached the subject of fashion seriously.

And the way Elizabeth runs in front of your gunfire into the big daddy. I cant decide if its worse from her disappearing from the fight entirely only to occasionally throw potions at you out of nowhere. Which she also teleports behind you to do, making her location feel as arbitrary as possible.
