Not a bad move, to get off the Trump train before it derails in the 2026 elections. She might rejoin the fray after that, or just enjoy the millions she made from insider trading while in office.

He pretty clearly made promises to some powerful supporters about protecting them, and he is thinking about the consequences of letting them down.

I will repeat my advice to everyone in government and elsewhere for that matter. Take contemporaneous note, record whenever possible and make copies of everything. The history of this time will be written one day.

I still don't understand why there is not such a thing as bubble up economics. Pay those on the bottom of the wage scale a good wage - they will spend most of that. That spending will increase economic activity and revenue for companies. Drive the economy from the base.

China promises to buy $6 billion worth of soybeans this year and gets a 40 billion (10% of the 400 Billion or so the US imported from China in 2024) reduction of tarriffs. At least Argentina will have funds to compensate their farmers for the lost soybean sales...
