Just trying to stay sane
That guy just oozed charisma in the 90s in that, Hard Boiled and The Killer. A real old school movie star.

I am also hopelessly confused as to whether this real, satire, or some kind of joke.
November 18, 2025 at 2:50 AM
How do we know that?
November 18, 2025 at 2:50 AM
100% agreed though I confess I am legitimately confused as to whether the blog piece is satire or completely serious.

Unless it’s sheer stupidity, there’s something weird about this story. How does someone making $4+ million take that risk for $5000?

I gave a similar look to the lady who rear ended me the other day while I was yielding to traffic, but with my car in the shop for a month, it wasn't that satisfying!

Exactly

Agreed

That 1996 game 4 (followed by the 1-0 game 5) will always be my favorite Yankee comeback ever.

I suspect he’s trying to get 9 outs from Williams and Bednar.
October 8, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Who would you have preferred? Weaver? Not a lot of great options left down there.

I feel like the last time short rest was used extensively was in 2009 when the Yankees used a 3 man rotation through the whole postseason. CC, Pettitte and AJ Burnett started every game, mostly on short rest. I’m all for it.
October 5, 2025 at 1:52 AM
His pitching decisions have been weird the last two games
October 3, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Also he’s yet another lefty. As we can see tonight and last night, we need righties to balance our lineup
October 1, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Me too but I’m not quite sure where we would play him. By all accounts he can’t play 3b at the MLB level and we don’t really have room for him at 1b or DH.
October 1, 2025 at 11:28 PM
I do not understand letting Wells hit there. I realize we'd have had to pinch hit with a lefty, but Ben Rice is a much better hitter than Wells is, including against lefties.

To quote Joe Girardi, “It’s not what you want”

Doesn’t matter if he’s “really” a dem or even a progressive. We should be encouraging republicans and conservatives of principle to switch parties any chance we get.
September 16, 2025 at 8:06 PM
It’s supposed to be. In my experience it’s up to whether you’re being favored by the gods that day.
September 13, 2025 at 5:23 PM
1000%
September 11, 2025 at 12:51 PM
No disagreement there

I'm with you, but I think it's because even when Israel isn't doing objectively evil things, there are still copious amounts of people who hate Jews for no particular reason. It's a simple fact of life. Bibi has given those folks a lot of easy ammunition with his catastrophic behavior.
September 10, 2025 at 3:42 PM
I get what you’re saying, but this is still a form of complicity. Just can’t do it.

Doesn't need the help nearly as badly as SEPTA, believe it or not. Philadelphia may semi-permanently shut down as a real city in January with the glee of the GOP legislature.

Not what you're asking exactly, but I had a case where a substack newsletter I was subscribing to was double charging me and sending the second bill to a non existent email address. I messaged them over and over again and they did nothing. I had no choice but to execute a chargeback.
