Nothing about this is hypocritical. Read into how Tiktok has been leveraged by the Chinese GOVERNMENT to harass and spy on American journalists. Nothing at this level of collusion has been observed between an American company and a foreign government.

Yes I read this article before, and this is still fundamentally different. Read into how FB responded to this situation - it is not equivalent to the persistent disregard for handling and weaponization of PII by Tiktok (which is, again, majority owned by a foreign adversary of the U.S)

There is a huge difference between Google+FB storing data and using it to sell targetted ads (not selling the data itself!) vs. a Chinese majority owned company with a proven track record for mishandling PII. Your hunch that this is free speech issue is nothing but a conspiracy theory w/ no evidence

Curious, can you please give a concrete example of an American based company found to be sharing PII with a foreign adversary? Not looking for names of companies you THINK do this, looking for a source you could share to support your claim.

- spread misinformation
- used by China to stalk journalists
- fostered dopamine seeking behavior / low attention spans that overwhelmingly negatively impact our youth
- algorithmically boosted popular illegal/dangerous "trends" wherein clout seeking kids have literally died

if drone data has privacy implications then it is just treated like any other sensitive information. The applications used to ingest and interact with the data can be evaluated w/ OWASP and the org with SOC or other frameworks.

Only uniqueness I can think of is the physical security of the drone? 🛸

Can you help me understand what about drone-collected data requires specialization? Knowing nothing about this industry, it sounds like this would just fall under cloud/IoT security? What unique security concerns exist?
