Seeing the deal that sent McNeil to the A's, it seems like the Giants could have offered to take on the entire contract and make a strong improvement at 2B.

I've always thought he would have been an amazing exec for the Angels when they had Trout and Ohtani as he was good at finding players that could be a strong supporting cast to superstar players and building rotations without making long-term commitments.

A few seconds isn't going to make a difference when it comes to a game that's 2-3 hours long. And I know deriving enjoyment from baseball is a foreign concept to the Rockies and their fans lately, but feeling admiration for a feat you accomplished is an emotion.

Oh so you're one of those buzzkils that thinks players shouldn't be allowed to express any type of emotion when hitting a home run. And if Freeland can't handle getting lit up, maybe he should learn to pitch better.

Keep SF with the other CA teams and put Arizona with the other small market teams out west and realign the Midwest division to keep the Cubs and the Cardinals together.

I recognize this makes the most sense geographically, but this realignment would also split up two of MLB's biggest rivalries, which would overall be bad for baseball.

I'm pretty sure the MLB app is the only app that's actually gotten worse every single year. It's like whoever's in charge of managing it is constantly trying to find more ways to make it unusable

I think he would have been considered a great exec if he had been with the Angels a few years ago as he was good at putting together a good rotation on short term contracts and finding depth pieces that could support star players (assuming Arte Moreno didn't interfere in this hypothetical scenario)

This was my first thought. I think they should have brought up Tengo. He's been great the past month or so and Whisenhunt could have kept working on his issues in AAA
