I scrolled back to my fb posts from right after the election, thinking I’d save them on Substack or something. Anyway, it’s hard to explain how weird it is to see this from less than three months ago—feeling more like three years—and to have been right. I wish I wasn’t.

I just called and left messages on McCormick’s, Fetterman’s, and Bresnehan’s voicemails. On my last call, I wondered if any of it really mattered. As I was leaving the voicemail, I looked up to see my daughter pop her head into the room, smile, give me a thumbs-up, and then disappear.

This is from a friend who is in a position that makes it difficult for her to share openly. My God. What are we doing to our children? And by OUR - I mean ALL. Not just the ones Trump has decided to define as human.
