@jakearthurnfl.bsky.social do you think while Ballard has been more aggressive and gone against norms, that there is still a good chance he drafts a DE in round 1? I’d love to see him get TE or secondary or even OL. But he loves drafting edge. Will he be stuck in his old ways for the draft?

Yes!!! That’s what I’m talking about Ballard!

i didn't say trust them to know more than you or I.....just to know. I don't trust this regime. We have been a laughable franchise for too long and they have to make big improvements. Well we can simply agree to disagree on the shoulder thing. But until the colts actually win, i can't trust them.

Also, thanks for the respectful back and forth LOL. i love talking football and always open to the other side of an argument.

You trust the colts to know? Like how they knew everything was great with Lucks shoulder? They have a long history of botching medical and personal stuff. They didn't spend money but they could have saved money and used it elsewhere. Its a lose lose if they cut him and aren't able to use any saved $

Charvarius would be great. That's what i've been hoping for

Until he does something big, i just feel like we will always be floundering. And I don't think Irsay will ever hold him accountable. He's had 9 years and wasted most of that by playing the Old/busted QB route. Until he brings in difference makers, as a colts fan i can't trust him to make it work.

Smith is a good OT *when he is healthy and playing*. I get it, but it doesn't feel like Ballard is really doing his part of the tango well. Why we missed out on the DE last year, he took less money to go to Houston because he knows we aren't good. Bynum was the 5th ranked safety (out of 8) per nfl

Also he was 96th in the league with a 86.4 passer rating allowed. and his 96 tackles? 26th in the league. Middle of the pack player. Not exciting. That's all we are asking for. Make a big trade. Like he did for Buck. That was awesome and he's been amazing. Bring us Hendrickson, something exciting.

Is this really different? We want to see him make big changes. This isn't big. Take a fucking swing. How about we don't spend money on bringing Braden Smith back. What if he really isn't past all his off field stuff and he doesn't play? We could use that cap somewhere else
March 10, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Good for him. He worked his tail off and didn't miss snaps after coming off a huge injury in college. Knew he was going to get paid and it couldn't be by us. well deserved. Best of luck!

So we should be ok with him spending money on mediocre talent? I said he was fine. But you expect him to fix the shit show that is our secondary? Also; would you not be annoyed with a GM who is stubborn and ok with being average for 9 years and never being held accountable? Do your job well or leave
March 10, 2025 at 6:53 PM
A high priority position that they don't want to spend money to get a high level player at? Bynum is...fine. But if Ballard is going to continue to spend on average at best players than his team will never be above average.
