This is the first year that this cactus has bloomed. I think it's 4-5 years old. It's incredibly pretty.

I love this time of year- there are baby birds everywhere! Baby crows, red-winged blackbirds, goldfinches, Baltimore orioles, barn owls, yellow-headed blackbirds, robins, meadowlarks… Shane managed to get some decent pics of the red-tailed hawks.
