Plugging this great book for the second time in as many years. Among other things, a healthy reminder that creating "new and different forms of social reality" is both possible and more important now than ever. #booksky @davidwengrow.bsky.social @davidgraeberinst.bsky.social

A close read of TZone episode #1 and a few other things. Link to PDF in comments if anyone is interested. I really love this cover.

Please no more about that "decisive" "sweeping" win. Meet claims with counter-claims, and real numbers (about 1.6% margin).

Working on the river, loving how cozy this setup feels, older machine, offline forever, no updates, no crashes, software installed from actual disks. Didn’t realize how much I missed this kind of project-based design work. Paper to scanner to screen, where the fun begins.

Somehow all this has to become a poem.

I wrote about bees & trees in this poem that I think still wants to be an essay. Allium continues to be one of the great things about Chicago. Such an honor to be included in this new issue.

Nice to be out, of a Tuesday evening, meeting a poet friend, snow all melted, temps above freeze, enjoying this ceiling.

“Drift” is such an unassuming word.

You live in Chicago long enough, you learn to recognize this sky may look innocent enough, but it’s got “snows a-comin” written all over it.

And then, out of nowhere, the perfect exclamation point.
