When your wife asks if we can have leftovers one more time…
A scene from O Brother Where Art Thou when cousin Hogwallop replies to Delmar’s compliment of “the stew” they’re sharing at the dinner table. “You think so? I slaughtered this horse last Tuesday. I’m afraid she’s starting to turn”, as he looks at a hunk of meat on his fork. My joke posits a response to a question from my wife in which I reply as Hogwallop, changing the horse to Turkey and Tuesday to Thursday (it was recently Thanksgiving).
