Although I had printed a sample Democratic ballot at home and had it with me, I still accepted one when I early voted on Morse Road. It kept both my and their spirits up, and theirs was easier to read than the one I printed.

I live in Columbus, too. People from out of town have no idea what I mean by “Beggar’s Night” and ask why we don’t always do it on 10/31. I always thought that Fri/Sat were out because of drunk drivers, but recently I’ve heard it’s because of high school/college football. It’s a mystery to me.
