We had an amazing time yesterday at Hawbush Community Gardens with the Ekho Collective Project 🌱in their multigenerational ‘village’ community to forage, prep, cook, and share a meal together. We’re proud to work alongside partner projects like Ekho Collective that make a real difference locally!

Thanks to a local NHS health inequalities grant, some of our foodbanks now have Google Nest translation devices, helping volunteers to converse with non-English speakers, ensuring their needs can be met in a way that is relational and in fitting with our values of Love, Connect and Invest 🧡

Sometimes, the most heartfelt acts of kindness come out of the blue. Two Cadent engineers who were working on site heard about our foodbank, then came back the next day with 151.8kg of food, bought with £400 raised by colleagues. Thank you, Cadent! 💛

The food we eat as children has a huge impact on the rest of our lives.

Today’s announcement that the government will be working with supermarkets to make the average shopping basket more nutritious, is a welcome step in the right direction.
