What ever you decide to write is good(and I really loved your bleach one! Huaisang is so cute!). I don't think it's any sort of flaw to write what you can write at the time, it's all good.

While I like lots of different interpretations, I think canon wise that his parents death is more "No one has heard from them in six months/a year" and given there's every indication that they *didn't* find the bodies or their swords, the search area is more "three quarters of Ancient China.".

I mean, the Jiang Family in general seemed to have issues with names, but JFM not only naming Suibian for a joke, but naming his daughter dislikes separation, his son lamentations at night, and his own son's sword the three poisons of Buddhism doesn't really speak well.

Then you get to the inner disciples, which is tricky. I imagine you get a whole mix of whose playing politics and who doesn't know. I bet a lot of them would be delighted to have a chance to take the crown if the heirs vanish(Especially since they'd make it Lan Qiren's fault.).

My own personal take is that the Lan Elders saw a chance to take power from an inexperienced second son and grabbed it for all it was worth. The Lan outer disciples probably know almost nothing(and given that a lot of them were left to die when Cloud Recess burned says a lot.).

A lot less then there was, and there's still a lot of the tribes around here. But yeah, I wouldn't blame anyone for not coming through here, no matter how much it's improved. Of course, that's one reason they're so mad about it.

I don't know which genre you want, but a few that spring to mind are- Mordred's Lullaby(by Heather Dale), I Know These Hills, Never Leave Harlan Alive(Brad Paisley is one singer), We're all Mad Here(SJ Tucker did the version I have), and The Belmonts did a lot of interesting Castlevania ones.

You would almost have to do it as a court ordered thing. But I could see it done multiple ways, I would almost want to play it as the recordings of an increasingly tired therapist. Also with side interviews with all three of the kids(+JZY and LWJ)

I read those. Honestly, I read a lot of stuff way too young, but I think the gateway for me was those Alfred Hitchcock collections. We had both the children's ones and the adult ones, and they were all mixed together in the card catalogue. And once you go from there, well.

Almost all the women in the elder generation are a blank slate. It says something that the two mothers we know the most about are Yu Ziyuan and *Meng Shi*. (Admittedly, the one headcanon I adopted was that Wen Chao's mother was Jin Guangshan's younger sister, because that explains so much.)

implies, to nireski's take that she listened to the the wrong people and was hoping to escape death, while not realizing just how stifling the Lan would be. I've also seen several that have her as related to the Dafan Wen/Qishan Wen as well, that open up options. I'm looking forward to yours.
