Testing the water, not sure if that's on behalf of the party or his own ambitions, but at least the elephant is being discussed

Installed doesn't mean used all the time, so I expect some of the rapid response generation such as gas will be on standby, for example in the UK today we have 10-20GW of system margin, much of this is gas not being used

You are, without doubt, THE place to visit if you have a (checks thesaurus..) specialist interest in largest domestic Roman buildings... But if, tomorrow, you just 'happened' to find a genuine mosaic of a dinosaur.... Just saying 😀. Just kidding, we love you just the way you are

Have you thought about branching out, perhaps add a display or two about 'central heating control systems through the ages' to widen your appeal to families of plumbers and people with a spare underfloor cavity, a few trees, a book on home improvement and a box of matches

I found the flat less homely as the kitchen seating was smaller and if a student was in their room they were more isolated than in my day, but there are a lot more SU and Uni managed activities and social spaces that don't revolve entirely around drinking and that was good

My child was in halls last year (35 years ago for me). I noticed two key differences, firstly the social space with the flat was smaller and secondly, due to fire regulations, the bedroom doors were all closed, this really affects isolation as you don't see, hear or interact with people passing by

Great news, although I don't consider we 'rely' on renewables, we take advantage of them

They have totally lost the plot, much the older generation is lost to reform anyway, the majority of younger people want closer ties with the EU but Labour seem determined to shut then down and funnel their aspirations into low paid social care and hospitality instead

My child is ASD, at Uni (STEM), Mensa member and is a functioning member of society with no financial support. We got the diagnosis so certain secondary teachers would finally back off on sarcasm and explain things in unambiguous ways. It's a spectrum with a binary diagnosis

Please make it the arched window, I watched playschool for ages and I'm convinced that statistically they favoured the round one and totally ignored the arched one..... Justice for arched windows!!!!

Many younger people and new drivers will migrate to EVs, they will just lease whatever is a good deal and meets what they need, they won't care it doesn't have pistons.

There's an easy answer, if he restores freedom of movement then my daughter will happily quit this godforsaken island and go do science somewhere warmer and more welcoming, that will immediately improve the net figures
November 28, 2025 at 10:13 AM
You are going to have to address the Brexit elephant, yes it will upset a few elderly people but they are lost to reform anyway and younger people shouldn't be carrying this burden. The idiocy of the father are not to be laid upon the children.

Perhaps we should tell them that rising sea levels means small boats will be able to sail up to their front doors, that will get them all excitable
November 27, 2025 at 8:49 AM
My child will finish HE just before the next election, if reform get in we will not only help fill in applications for overseas jobs but (with tears) pack the suitcase. STEM

Agreed, it's a slow decline while they tax those who didn't want it, in order to try and maintain the living standards of those who did.

I agree, not only does it feel like I'll be asked to pay for other people's mistakes, the government will continue along the same path which will inevitably mean I'll be expected to pay even more in the future
