A small orange cat sleeps on a sunlit windowsill.
Her fur glows warm.
Beside her, a tall glass teems with life, drifting through clear water.
All is quiet.
I don’t wish to take from her.
I only wish to feel, too.
For now, I’ll share her peace.
Her pleasure is a blessing.

The caticorn sat up proudly beside the sleeping gingersnap, the bunny nestled close, and the tired tiger exhaled a slow, steady breath, watching over. In this quiet, love needs no words—only warmth, presence, and the promise of safety.

Elon Musk: "We post our actions to the DOGE website. All of our actions are maximally transparent. I don't know of a case where an organization has been more transparent."

This is the actual doge.gov website. It's a single page. Nothing more.

A small amount of resistance can easily thwart an overextended aggressor — self-defense advice from a martial artist. Pressure works. Keep going.

If I'm understanding this right, Democratic leaders are leaving behind a lot of people. No protection for trans gender people. Am I understanding this right?

I guess we have to wait for the economy. Meanwhile, trans gender people will just keep dying at disproportionate rates in preventable ways.

Congratulations, Beyoncé! Your first Grammy album win is a historic moment, honoring the rich roots of Black artists, who shaped this sound from the very beginning of the genre. You continue to break barriers, and inspire. This win is more than an award—it’s a celebration of history and artistry!

Make them say the quiet part out loud. Believe them when they tell you who they are.

"We’ll be here. But they sure as hell won’t get the first pick of the lettuce."

"Fair enough. I’m glad we’re neighbors."

"Me too, young’n. You’ve got more sense than most. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about you. C'mon, let's go check on our other neighbor, make sure he's OK."

"So you think they’re making a mistake?"

"They’re mistaking the sound of a falling tree for the sound of progress."

"But they keep saying this is what regular folks want."

He scoffed. "Ain’t no regular folk I know askin’ to get their pockets picked while their house burns down."

"Next thing you know, coyotes are in the henhouse, rattlers in the feed bin, and some jackrabbit’s got your wife’s good china."

"I think they’re saying this is just how progress works. Gotta shake things up. Break the system."

It was a warm day. The birds outside seemed happy, like it was a good day. I hadn’t felt one of those in a while, so I went for a walk. I saw my neighbor, a local farmer. He’s always busy, but not today. He chewed on a bit of hay, his wrinkled face set in a frown.

To the Esteemed Keepers of Sanity and Breakers of Cycles,

Congratulations! You've successfully navigated the grand, bewildering labyrinth of family dynamics and emerged not only intact but possibly thriving! You, dear reader, are among the rare and radiant souls who know love is an action.

Help me understand why corruption and dysfunction is better than diversity, equity and inclusion. Make it make sense.

"I can’t see danger, but I feel it. So, I bury my face in your hand. It’s not hiding—it’s trust. I’m blind, see? Like this. You have eyes; you see for me. You’re my safety, my witness. Will you keep me safe? I trust you to hold the world steady for me. Please, stay close."
