the logic here blaming challengers is ridiculous. the party shouldn’t spend any time or mone to defend safe seat incumbents. the choice of nominee in those places, by definition, doesnt impact congressional party control!

brooks was even asked about it in 2019 (another buzzfeed article that extensively covered the event)

and it was even in the nyt too (also 2019): www.nytimes.com/2019/07/13/n...

To underline this point -- a *majority* of extreme conservative younger adults agree with at least one of these (putatively) anti-semitic statements. But that's not true for any other political group.

(The entire poll is fascinating. Esp the Qs on def'n of "antisemitism", near the end)

it's worked in minnesota at least

or arguably other new parties during party system transitions

if Nebraska or hopefully a few other states had successful anti-Republican third parties, that would be a win

Next step is to publicly and loudly threaten to prosecute said underling, and call them out by name. It may help deter more lawbreaking. They need willing underlings to do all this.

Accountability isn’t just for high-level officials - broad political-legal attack is useful too, starting right now.

Also Landon Thomas Jr. gave Epstein PR advice, while signing his emails with his official nytimes.com webpage (they redacted whether it was from a personal or company email address)

Does @zbyronwolf.bsky.social know this post is totally deceptive as it stands on its own? The context in the caption is omitted; all text describes the *current* situation. The presentation undermines the journalism and turns it into propaganda.

oof (from the linked DOJ report) -- he lied that he wanted to call his mother and they let him call whoever he wanted. and it's unknown who he called

maybe a bit more consistent with suicide but not super relevant to the question, i guess

the prison was run poorly with a history of other incidents endangering inmates and management hiding evidence of staff misconduct. not conclusive evidence for suicide but makes it quite plausible
