'O see ye not yon narrow road,
So thick beset with thorns and briers?
That is the path of righteousness,
Tho after it but few enquires.'

Taking another stab at reading Brian Vaughan's 2000 run of Swamp Thing. Phil Hale's cover for the first ish is absolutely *amazing*, especially here in its entirety. I haven't held the actual book, but unless it wrapped, the printed art on the cover was cropped and darkened. Nice to see it all!

The Beast was a trip and then some. New experiences abounded, including the QR code at the end using my phone to finish the bonus scene and rockin' credits for 8:26. Very recommended for the wide awake. ☆☆☆☆1/2

Total THB Volume One is here, and I'm a little thrilled to see it. But I still wish I had my original copies.

Wonder Woman #2 (v2) was quite good. Perez's art is the MVP here, but tbh the writing is stellar. The ish's first several pages gave me Englehart & Rogers Detective vibes; and the tone was a spooky page-turner throughout. Panels are densely loaded though, so bring a snack. 😄 Looking forward to more!

Finished Wonder Woman #1 (v2) last night. DC's big swing at reworking the character in '86 holds up. I was struck by the instrumental use of the Greek gods as characters, and the redo of the origin of Paradise Island. That part was weird, but works. Diana's story got condensed, but I totally dug it.

Wayward Manor was awful from start to finish, but don't forget that Gaiman shamelessly hawked tiers of rewards for early supporters, the gold trophy being a SPOOKY DINNER with him for a mere $10k. Funny, but that almost matches the dollar amount for 6 months of therapy to begin recovery afterward!

Very hard to believe we're coming up on the 10th anniversary. And then again in ways it feels like a lifetime ago.

I managed a video store for a few years in the '80s. Those were great times, and luckily some of the swag remains.

I remember playing this with a very challenged internet connection 10 years ago and loving it. Now I have a spiffy fast connection and no Secret World.

From the first Topps TWD trophy to the last. My favorite digital cards from one of my least favorite shows (although I dug S1-3 of FTWD), I confess that I never understood my fascination with this collection.

These are far from cheap on eBay, so I got lucky for just over $4 on today's thrift finds, proving once again that the early bird gets the worm:

Tom Petty: Somewhere You Feel Free - The Making of Wildflowers (2020) is a great documentary; caught it on Prime and def. recommend, esp. if you're even remotely a fan of his.

I'll have an Obscure Homie Skate Video, straight-up.

Y'know, Spike Jonze got started filming stuff like this, and I really admire its spirit.
