agreed, but narratives are strong in shaping public opinion and the narrative is they failed, dying, etc… missing the forest for the trees. in my opinion, the narrative needs to change, the industry isn't doing well, and is in need of change and at least Xbox is doing something (different) about it

wish the narrative around Xbox would change from, they failed at an outdated business model of 30+ years, that isn't quite working any more for the industry to, at the least… they might be on to something here for what's next in gaming.
