The Worm and The Cheese by Carlo Ginzburg is a relatively easy and very interesting read about medieval Italy and I always like The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Kuhn, but I’m not sure if either are what she’s looking for

Counterpoint: is it not a salient similarity that Bernie and Trump followers are attracted to ideas (importantly different!) that challenge a perceived status quo? Indicating not a similarity between the figures but a possible pattern within the us electorate
