I sat next to a man on an airplane who told me he did all four years of undergrad followed by years of medical school at the University of Florida. His tuition was low enough that he had zero debt when he finished up. I was floored.

I had a Pell Grant in the mid 80s. When I graduated, the amount I started paying was $28 a month. I had 10 years to pay it and the monthly amount went up as the years went by and my income increased.
