Wow, this is deep, ok here goes.

1. Rxe6 Qxe6 (if f pawn takes, Qe7#) 2. Qd2 Qd5 3. Qxd5 then whatever black plays you have Qd8 and Rxd8 to mate supported by the bishop.

I had trouble finding Qd2 rotating the queen to continue the pressure but it makes a lot of sense

I agree completely, for me anything below a ten minute game actively forms worse habits. I think you can only really learn if you're playing a time control where you get to the end of the game without having to rush your thinking process
