It really was the "read it through once, then read it through with the photographs, then finally read all the footnotes" that got me hooked. Ordered it yesterday and it arrived today.

New to my collection, ST:TMP Space Viewer. 2 new stories on film strips, watched on the viewer.
2nd story, The Black Hole (BH), has Enterprise going warp 12 past a "runaway BH", creating a vacuum (in space 😂) pulling the BH to safety so they can destroy it with "photon missles". Yes - missles.🖖

Front and back cover of the Trek comic that started them all, Star Trek Gold Key #1 published Oct 1967.
Was drawn in Italy by Nevio Zeccara who had never seen an episode.
Shocking now, it ends with Spock destroying all foliage on a "hideous planet" using laser beams.

These are the first back cover ads from Gold Key Star Trek comics.
Issue 1 was a photo back cover.
The left (fishing gear) ad is from issue 2, June 1968.
The right (prize ad) is from issue 3, Dec 1968.
How many of you have ever ordered anything from a comic book ad?
I have.

This singular comic has given me more enjoyment than I've had in years.
It's brilliant. I cannot recommend this highly enough & everyone who loves Lower Decks needs to get this. It's a perfect gift idea.
So. Much. Fun.🖖

Star Trek comic art is art. All 9 of artist Sweeney Boo's @sweeneyboo.bsky.social Star Trek: Picard's Academy covers, signed at Montreal ComicCon.
You've got the ideal comic artist, right here, @heatherantos.bsky.social , if you do more Trek comics aimed at young adults!
