yeah, I heard about the 4th of July parade justification. How is that being addressed in this new design? that last bit (no dips for private drives) would be great but I expect there will be push back. There is still so much complaining about Towne Rd raised crossings. we'll see I guess.

I guess it took a new mayor - the old mayor had backed it so much and the city had spent so much on those planters that admitting the mistake was too embarrassing.

They are switching to multiuse path. Without getting into all the problems with the cycling lane implementation, this is what they should have done from the very beginning. My understanding is that they didn't because of conflict with July 4th parade somehow (which is stupid for a one day event).

I've done my fair share of that on bikes and house. I was curious about your crank and found this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbL1... a different process than I expected having only worked with old square taper. I might have made the same mistake.

I've also heard about conquestcycling.org in Westfield. I don't know that either work on e-bikes but there are some resources for learning on steel bicycles (and probably other local cyclists willing to teach if you asked around).

I live 6 miles from 96th and Zionville , entire way from home has multiuse cycling paths. my old office at 79th / Zionsville was unreachable without taking a big risk. I have actually cycled 96th -> 86th a few times and it's pretty scary. Even in a car, 96th/71st is dangerous. many bad drivers.

a temperature of 3C (a little above freezing water at 0C) corresponds ot a temperature of 37F (a little above freezing water at 32F) but a 3C degree increase in global temperature corresponds to 5.4 degree Fahrenheit increase in global temperature. delta F = delta C * 1.8

what is the 71st street connector like? I seem to recall you can get a little ways from eagle creek park but then around Gunion road it turns into unprotected painted lines or at best narrow sidewalk? What do you think is the best route to the Monon?

It had been finished except for the ends for a few weeks before that. I see from your picture they finally removed the barriers at the north end (I usually ride up on Hamilton Boone County line and then loop back down on Monon) - good to know. It's a nice section.

I haven't noticed the surface there unless it changed. For me, my least favorite is north of broadripple above and below 75th. Too narrow with a drop off. Actually where I crashed and destroyed my last bike hitting a deep hole hidden by leaves. They have repaired it some since then.

I see a fair number of parents taking their kids around Carmel in those bike trailers that go behind the bicycle. When my twins were younger, I had a double one and it worked ok but was sometimes hard to negotiate some crossings because of the width.

Anderson should have been locked away for a long time after the first case. ER doc run down walking on the sidewalk (after a long history of driving violations). That woman is a net negative in the world.
