It's pretty damn cool, our art team have done an amazing job on the ships! (and I'm still surprised at times that I got to be the systems designer for both cloaking and biological ships in Stellaris)

I found a piece of headgear that the property “cannot be unequipped”, so I reckon decapitation might be a solution for this.
