Film companies arent the brle all and end all though. When that kind of power starts to be utilised by other fields; technology, medicine, security etc is when we really start to see serious lapses in critical thinking. Is this app technically entertainment? Healthcare/counselling? What? Why?

Film companies went headfirst into using ai to develop the concept art of movies, thus reducing this expense. Flashy presentations and pitches are easier than ever, resulting in less chances to critique or turn down ideas.

While not the root of the problem, I think gen ai did a lot of damage to the world of concept and pitching ideas. With human artists; the cost, time and organisation of initial development meant that there was a lot of scrutiny and thinking that had to go into the process, for better or for worse.
