Good idea! I've recently enjoyed Patrick Rothfuss books (book 1: name of the wind). Slow start, but beautifully written series.

I'm a little more optimistic that NIH or NSF would be interested if the central question was the right fit. It'd need to have a tight central focus while generating a ton of data that could be shared on NSRR. Maybe include an aim for development of open code for automated content analysis, etc

sounds like you're ready to spearhead a multi-site 'replication' study, Erin!
(pre-registered, large scale, lab-controlled dream research is really needed, IMO)

Glad to see these devices doing well in sleep/wake detection. We’ve switched to oura rings since Philips discontinued actiwatches. No surprises that wearables continue to show so-so results for sleep stages…these independent evals are necessary for keeping product marketing accountable
