Which way is optimism, more left or more eaten?

It's the same meaning in abstract if you think about a crosstab, the average along the range of the variable is written in the margins of the table.

I really enjoy it for this reason and I'm not even Christian

"Remember when a bottle of coke cost 5 cents?" remains undefeated

At the same time I'm fascinated by the variance of this, you could be anywhere from Seth Abramson to Matty, all on one side of the political spectrum.

Didn't even notice it on the picture the first time, that looks horrible

The Eiffel tower is within everyone's reach, really

It genuinely feels poll-justified rather than poll-tested for a lot of this stuff too, knowing the limitations of what polls can tell you but still making the contrarian point

I guess when we say they lost 30 billion dollars, they didn't lose it in the couch cushions, so who was the money distributed to, instead of being a wealth transfer to the homeless?
December 6, 2025 at 1:02 PM
Thing is, it starts off with ranking pies, which is harmless and some weirdos take it seriously, but then some guy comes in with "Indian food sucks shit lol" and it all goes off the rails in the usual Internet way
November 25, 2025 at 11:29 PM
You're really earning this mute

"We advocate for a government that provides social insurance"

Not a libertarian

"invests in state capacity"

Not a libertarian

Just sports caller energy, you came in with a conclusion, post things that disprove the conclusion, say unrelated things and act like you're standing on principle here.
November 24, 2025 at 2:25 PM
The person you're responding to isn't a libertarian.
November 24, 2025 at 2:19 PM
You've got aggressive sports radio caller energy

I assume he has a sound board esque setup where he hits a button to respond "that's inflation adjusted"

To be clear, I don't believe such fragile people exist, and if they do, the rest of us don't need to develop strategies to cater to just them.
November 8, 2025 at 10:31 PM
Just struggling to understand how you expect normies to have arguments marshalled so that they don't accidentally drive unbelievably fragile people towards believing scientific racism by saying things such as "racism is dumb". That is the extent of feeling typical people have, and that's fine!
November 8, 2025 at 10:30 PM
The kind of self important pseudo intellectual who thinks "wow these racists aren't ugly and vile, they're so welcoming and thoughtful, and look they do hypothesis testing, I know this stuff!", only thing I want to say to them is "stop falling for it you rube, you're not as smart as you think"
November 8, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Just from his perspective, I do understand his point. People who fancy themselves analytical and rational do get surprised when they see scientific racism using the language of real science, and may start listening. I just have no patience to coddle those people.
November 8, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Doesn't compute since the post quoted in OP is basically the same thing.
November 8, 2025 at 6:58 PM
Caricature implies the portrayal is untrue or an exaggeration. Scientific racists are wrong, their beliefs have no basis in reality, they use motivated reasoning to justify their conclusions. There is no in between, they are just wrong.
November 8, 2025 at 6:31 PM
As opposed to making the dumb people feel smart when they talk about scientific racism. You're just talking about making a different kind of dumbass feel smart.
