Just trying to disrupt the world's raging dumpster fire.
iOS is really starting to feel like the Jitterbug of smartphones. Why is everything gigantic? This isn’t sleek it’s cramped and feels patronizing.

Been following since around 2008 and xkcd still has its pulse on the latest tech nonsense.

My security engineer senses are tingling and I’m pretty sure this temp iPhone is listening to conversations even with the privacy locked down. You notice Apple never lets you just shut off things like mic and camera.

As someone who used to be the biggest Apple fanboy (even as an employee) for years, after using an iPhone for the first time in years, the window manager is garbage compared to most Android.

Three tiny games that blow most AAAs lately out of the water in terms of quality and enjoyment:

-Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip
-Thank Goodness You’re Here!
-I am Your Beast.

Indie is where all the fun shit is at anymore. Abandon major studios.

It took me a long time to see it but Joe Rogan is just Tim (the tool man) Taylor but in podcast form.

Too bad he doesn’t have a Wilson.

I Am Your Beast is an achievement of gaming and should be an inspiration for many bigger studios.

@buddiesofbudgie.bsky.social are the ones who truly understand how to blend modern and traditional ideas into a proper DE.

As someone who grew up concurrent to the inter et and has since studied its history in depth, its hilarious to watch PC hardware makers do the same hackey shit that didn't work the first time when it comes to AI.

A dedicated AI button, yes that's the innovation we need

I wonder if @grantkirkhope.bsky.social had a chance to play Thank Goodness You're Here! Great bunch of lads down in Yorkshire that did that one.

Playtonic needs to hire @snekflat.com as creative director for whatever their next thing is.

Project Cartographer is the proof: we are better reviving the best things of old than continuing to support the enshittification of everything new.

In the world of gaming, all the cool shit is starting to happen in the underground. Thriving private online communities for so many beloved titles, many of which have received huge QOL upgrades as well. And most easily accessible from something like a Steam deck. Or your laptop.

Years ago I solidified my top three favorite games list. It is and remains:

1. GTA V
2. Breath of the Wild
3. Pokemon Crystal

But now I must add a second parallel list for "Games I haven't stopped coming back to since my first playthrough":

1. Quake 1
2. Wolfenstein TNO & TNC
3. Splinter Cell

Had the pleasure of introducing my gf to the legend and lore of the great @grantkirkhope.bsky.social today, and showed her this still amazing video (they both have the same taste in music)

All I want from @playtonicgames.com is a 3D game with the charm and love of Yookah Laylee. It doesn't have to be a platformer, as long as it has that level of enjoyment.

I wonder if the lads are familiar with Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip. That's the kind of charm a new 3D game needs.

If @darkplaces.bsky.social is the same one who made the Quake port, I need to find a way to send you a basket of goodies for making my favorite port ever <3

I have moved mostly to Fedora base for our Atomic project, but for a daily driver Linux distro, its insane what the guys at @zorinos.bsky.social have accomplished (you'll always be my favorite <3)

The thing about mental health disorders (bipolar et al) is they don't have as narrow a path to being lethal as other diseases. Most times they win by making you delete yourself outright. But other times they can drive you to ruin your quality of life so bad that you still end up in an early grave.

2025 my disease almost finally won and killed me. A few times.

2026 we're making sure it never has another chance.

I thought I would always be loyal to @proton.me but it's useless for watching any good US apps abroad anymore so might be time to shop around

Found out today my former best friend is becoming the proud Nazi, er I mean MAGA next door. The one who yelled at me for calling everyone Nazis two weeks before Elmo did the salute.

Can't wait for the future family photos in the neatly ironed party uniform, shoes polished, saluting the dear leader

I think if I knew exactly when I would die and could choose my last activity, I'd probably watch @barrykramer.bsky.social's playthrough of Tiny Terry one last time.
