Apart from previously mentioned rituals, we will be doing a guided group reflection and social art period afterwards. The Facilitator will pose a query to the group. After a brief processing period, attendees will be invited to share and work through their feelings and reactions with the group. After the group reflections and discussion, we will host a "social hour" time for folks to work on creative outlets and chat.

The Facilitator will pose a query to the group, then will play 10-15+ minutes of gentle music for serene reflection and work time. The group will be called together at the end of the session as an opportunity for those who would like to share.

We will be presenting radical and revolutionary SWer art, historical context, and helping to guide a deep and supportive reflection on self-identity-community and how violence and creativity shape our lives. Participants are invited to process however they feel comfortable. You are invited to create in the moment, take notes for future works, or simply be present and experience it. Both sessions will feature opportunities to share and support community and will feature a Reading of the Names and a Grief Ritual. Differences in the sessions are noted in subsequent skeets

The courts are level with the sidewalk. The park is an off-leash dog park. Tables, chairs, and canopies will be provided for vendors and there will be a communal seating area for anyone to sit and rest at. Noise Level: We will be outside, near a freeway and vehicles will occasionally drive by playing loud music. We may also have amplified music playing at the event. Weather: The forecast for Saturday is in the low 60s, partially cloudy. Transportation: Carts, Wagons, baskets, large bags encouraged. The Park is 4 blocks south of the McArthur BART station and is along the AC Transit Bus Route 18. Free street parking is available near the park but may be difficult to come by. COVID Precautions: This event will be taking place outdoors. Masks are encouraged. Covid tests and vaccines will be available at the event, many of the harm reduction tables will have PPE and other supplies. Bathrooms: There will be port-a-potties at the park. Interpretation and Translation: No Professional interpretation or translation will be available at this event, though there will be some Spanish speakers available for assistance with PWL. The Care Village is open to all, and the team putting it on hopes you will invite any friends, family, or neighbors you feel would enjoy it!
