I'm still in awe of the ancient #Greeks. 2000 years ago, Hero of Alexandria described the aeolipile: the first recorded steam machine. A hollow sphere that spun when heated, a playful experiment centuries ahead of its time.

Our Sun feels enormous: until you meet Stephenson 2-18. This red #supergiant is so huge that if it replaced our Sun, its surface would reach past Saturn. You could fit 10 billion Suns inside. Almost beyond imagination.
