G.I. Robot is a military android originally built to combat Nazis during World War II, serving in Easy Company under Sergeant Franklin Rock. After the war, it was studied by Dr. Will Magnus for technological research. Decades later, the robot resurfaced in the possession of Sam Fitzgibbon, but upon learning of Fitzgibbon’s ties to a neo-Nazi group, G.I. Robot killed him and his associates, leading to his imprisonment at Belle Reve Correctional Center. G.I Robot was recruited by Amanda Waller into the Creature Commandos and joined a mission to Pokolistan under General Rick Flag, Sr., where it formed a close bond with teammate Nina Mazursky before being destroyed by Circe. A.R.G.U.S. later rebuilt G.I. Robot, and it joined the new team of commandos led by the Bride of Frankenstein.
