"Do not do to others what would anger you if done to you by others."— as recorded by Isocrates, c. 436–338 BCE
Looks like I'm boycotting Disney and ABC now.

I don't condone violence on anyone. What happened to Charlie Kirk shouldn't happen to anyone. If your career is based on sowing hate and division, one will have to reap its rewards. It's unfortunate that this is the result.

Renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War is glorification of war. Glorification of war was one of the reasons WWI started. I'm afraid we are starting to romanticize war again.

I am working on planning out the fall garden. Having trouble germinating seeds. I'm now planning on pre-germinating in ziplocs with a damp paper towel.

IMHO, if Trump truly grows tired of this -- if he pauses his nonexistent “peace plan,” stops camouflaging his total fiasco with Putin behind his escapades and attempts to twist Ukraine’s arm, and simply allows Europeans to buy American weapons for Ukraine...

With all this speculation on the presidents health. I think it needs to be reiterated. We need a maximum age for our officials. Just as we have a minimum age.

America's promise to the world was that every person is equal and is endowed with inalienable rights. We have fallen short of that many times, but we also continue to fight towards those goals.

I've been looking at these Columnar apple trees. Supposedly, they only have a canopy 2 to 3 ft wide, but still produce heavily.

No fascist regime has ever been voted out of power. That alone should tell you what we need to be prepared to do.

Melons and peppers are still growing. Even when getting ready for a fall reset.

I believe that in the next few years, we will need to both build strong relationships within our communities and become much more self-reliant as individuals. We need to do these things not to just protect ourselves but also our communities.

What's going on in DC is insane. The voters decided who they wanted to lead their city. If they wanted it to change, they could vote for it. This is the path of despotism and tyranny.

The Ballad of The Choctaw-Apache by Vincent Neil Emerson is an amazing country music song that is totally underrated. The song reflects on the forced displacement of the Choctaw-Apache tribe from Louisiana.

So, during a time of high energy costs, you stop approving renewable energy projects. Fossil fuels will always be inflationary due to an ever dwindling supply.

"Despotic government supports itself by abject civilization, in which debasement of the human mind, and wretchedness in the mass of the people, are the chief criterions...."

"Civilization, therefore, or that which is so-called, has operated two ways: to make one part of society more affluent, and the other more wretched, than would have been the lot of either in a natural state." -Thomas Paine, Agrarian Justice

Is anybody else a chaotic reader? I feel like I'm constantly half reading books, jumping back and forth every night, slowly inching my way through a pile of books on my nightstand.

Just in case nobody knows. Your local landfill most likely has a composting program. That's free to you. May have some plastic in it, though. I am currently resetting my beds. Getting ready for fall planting.

“My country is the world, and my religion is to do good.”- Thomas Paine. Out of all the founding fathers, Paine had conviction. National boundaries shouldn't outweigh the common rights of humanity.

About a year or so ago, I received an opportunity to rummage through a scrap pile. For two hundred dollars, I was able to fill my truck bed. I was able to pick out a lot of good pieces of walnut. I know nothing about woodworking. Let's make some money!

I've been making an effort to become more active across social media platforms. Not that my opinion matters much, or that I think I'm important. But I figure if I can make small differences in people lives, I've done plenty enough. So be on the lookout out for more activity from me.
