Already listened to it, as I listen live on Thursday mornings, but am having another listen this afternoon. It's cold but sunny, so will garden for an hour or so then come in make coffee and listen to Mr Bragg , the thinking woman's male voice.

I heard Rostropovich, on a warm summer evening with friends, play the unaccompanied sonatas. It had me in tears it was heart achingly beautiful in the great acoustics of the Norman cathedral in Exeter. I was about 25,and I was only just into chamber music.
