Someday archeologists are going to dig through the ancient remains of my home and comment how "wealthy" my family must have been for this time period of the United States because they found a dozen eggs in my trash.

Personal Story.
I have family who are military veterans. They have ongoing health needs as they have reached an age when that is necessary. They are having trouble getting their VA appointments for their necessary well being because of the government layoffs. Real let down for military vets here.
